What Is the Best Way to Get Free Traffic?

Let me just say one thing about all those so-called “Marketing SEO Experts” who tell you there is nothing that you can do to increase your traffic, unless of course you use their services. That’s just hype.
I recently discovered a great little secret, using the various parts of Yahoo. So in today’s article, I’m going to show you a quick little tip on how to drive some free traffic to your site, and get Yahoo to pick up your site, thus creating some more web site traffic.
Let’s step back a little bit. In the world of internet search engine, there are three kings that you have to worry about. The first one is Google, followed by Yahoo and then MSN. Although if you’ve been reading the recent events between Yahoo and MSN, they could possibly be merged in the not-so-distant future. Therefore, while most of your traffic will come from Google, you still have to worry about Yahoo and MSN.
Today we’re going to concentrate on Yahoo, but next week we’ll take a peek at MSN.
First, let’s head on over to My Yahoo. If you don’t already have a profile, it’s time to create one. For the purposes of this article, we’re going to say that you have one.
Click on “Personalize this Page” and then “Add RSS Feed.” It’s time to add your blog feed.
Now, it’s time to head over to the Button creator. Create a little button for your sidebar on your blog. People who use the RSS reader from Yahoo will like it.
You’re not done yet! 
It’s time to head over to Yahoo Groups and add some relevant groups to your niche blog. Send off some messages and remember your signature - put your signature in every single post to the groups you subscribe to.
Go head back to My Yahoo and add those groups to your reader.
One last thing. Be sure to put your links in your Profile page.
Why did we do all of this?
First off, Yahoo now knows about your web site and will crawl your profile page, the groups pages, and your personal reader page. And since Google also likes Yahoo, Google will also crawl all these pages, and your links. Secondly, all those groups that are in your niche have other readers, and they will visit your pages too. I typically receive about 100 visits per month from all the niche group postings each month, whether or not the link is relevant to that group. It seems odd, but people do actually visit signature links.
